We are very excited to now offer a new, high-end PETG 3D printing filament. We carry a full line of PLA, ABS, PETG, and Woodfill materials. Our filaments are made in the USA using very high quality standards of +/- 0.05mm in diameter and +/-0.03mm in roundness. A portion of every sale is allocated to our Enviromaker initiatives to support education, innovation, and sustainability.

What is PETG?

PETG is made with polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified (PETG) pellets. PETG is a high strength transparent thermoplastic with excellent moisture and chemical resistance. PETG material is rigid, tough, strong material which is very easy to print with and comes out great in a wide temperature range. This material also offers great clarity, light transmission and high gloss.

PETG offers the strength of filaments like ABS without being as prone to warping. PETG also does not absorb moisture like many other common filaments.

2.85mm vs 3.00mm

We often get questions about the difference between 2.85mm and 3.00mm filaments. Usually, most filaments labelled as 3.00mm will actually be closer to 2.85mm in diameter. Our materials are truly 2.85mm filaments which means superior printing performance with Ultimaker 3D printers, as well as those that require 3.00mm such as Lulzbot Taz 6 and Mini. Just remember to configure your slicing software for a true 2.85mm material and you can expect impressive results.

STORAGE: Every order comes with one large resealable bag. Use this along with the included desiccant bag to ensure your filament stays dry. It is important to store your filaments in a dry area to avoid moisture absorption when not in use. This will also ensure your filaments are free of dust & dirt to make ensure your next project prints without a hitch.   

Recommended settings:

PETG adheres exceedingly well to PEI print surfaces. We strongly recommend applying PVA glue directly on the print surface using a washable glue stick before printing to ensure easy part removal.
